Physicians' Care Network (formally, Florida Independent Physicians' Association, Region # 3, Inc.) is a network of over 480 primary care physicians and specialists. This network offers patients access to some of the finest physicians in North Central Florida … providing excellence in care at every stage of life.
Physicians'
Care Network is an independent physician association (IPA). In this role,
the organization contracts with managed care health plans to arrange for the
delivery of health care to patients by physicians who are members of
Physicians' Care Network. The IPA does not manage the physicians practice,
but the physicians agree to see patients under certain guidelines. This
structure allows Physicians' Care Network physicians to provide the
highest level of medical care while controlling health care costs. We
are able to achieve these goals through efficient business management
and a commitment to preventive and primary care
measures provided by our primary care physicians.

All physicians associated with Physicians' Care Network complete a rigorous credentialing process that insures each physician meets the highest of professional standards. Patients are allowed to choose his / her primary care physician from the extensive list of Physicians' Care Network physicians. The patient may change physicians if desired. If the care of a specialist is needed, the patient may request a particular physician or rely on the expertise of the primary care physician for referral. One of the advantages of a network such as Physicians' Care Network is that patients have access to physicians who have referral relationships. These relationships serve to increase and improve communications between the referring physicians and the specialists as well as the office staff. As a result the referral process should be easier for the patient.
As a member of Physicians' Care Network, physicians gain the advantage of being part of a large organization while maintaining control of their practice. In addition to representation in negotiations with managed care health plans, the network also provides access to on-line resources (electronic claims submission, eligibility verification, co-pay information, claims status and referral/authorization requests) which will increase office efficiency, a group purchasing arrangement for medical and office supplies, and association rates for group health insurance, patient appointment reminder services and HIPAA compliance software/services.
Physicians' Care Network works with and supports the physicians of the following counties: Alachua, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Suwannee and Union. The Administrative Office is located in Gainesville.
